¡Bienvenidos! During our previous clase de Español, it was Saniya’s turn
to choose our destination to a Spanish speaking country. After our traditional
morning greeting, she suggested we travel to Argentina.
Once we arrived
and settled in a círculo, we each
took a turn at tossing a big die that represents a different color on each of
its six sides. Once we tossed it, we were encouraged to say the Spanish word
that described the color it landed on.
rojo (red)
azul (blue)
amarillo (yellow)
verde (green)
morado (purple)
anaranjado (orange)
Next, to review our
learning of some of our facial features, we sang a song. Using the same verse,
we sang it for each facial feature: ojos,
nariz, boca, y orejas.
Esta es mi cabeza, (This
is my head,)
Estos son mis pies. (These
are my feet.)
Estos son mis ojos. (These are my eyes,)
Uno, dos y tres. (One,
two, three.)
Esta es mi cabeza,
(This is my head,)
Estos son mis pies. (These
are my feet.)
Estas son mis orejas. (These are my ears,)
Uno,
dos y tres. (One,
two, three.)
Then, we reviewed the Spanish
vocabulary for the five senses, los cinco
sentidos, and played the Swatter Game.
veo – I see
toco – I touch
huelo – I smell
oigo – I hear
saboreo – I taste
We
finished our class with our traditional ¡Adios.
Hasta luego! song and Saniya squeezing la
vaca. ¡Gracias, Saniya!
¡Hasta
nuestro proximo viaje!
Paz,
Alicia
