Español con Kindergarten: Numeros 11 al 20

¡Bienvenidos familia, amigas, y amigos! During la clase de Español, it was Sania’s turn to choose our destination to a Spanish speaking country. After our traditional morning greeting in Spanish, she suggested we head to Cuba (a country I know all too well :).

The Kindergarteners are asked in Spanish how we will get there:
¿Comó vamos a viajar? (How will we travel?)

And, a few suggestions are mentioned....
en carro (by car)
en tren (by train)
en bote (by boat)
en bicicleta (by bicycle)

But, the Kindergarteners know all too well our mode of transportation as they all responded, “en avión!” (by plane). So, off we went en avión to our destination. Upon our return, we settled into this Spanish speaking country and gathered in a círculo. Next, we practiced saying the numbers 11 through 20 in Spanish and played the “Swatter Game” to reinforce our learning.

Once - eleven
Doce - twelve
Trece - thirteen
Catorse - fourteen
Quince - fifteen
Dieciséis - sixteen
Diecisiete - seventeen
Dieciocho - eighteen
Diecinueve - nineteen
Veinte - twenty

We finished our class with our traditional ¡Adios. Hasta luego! song and Sania squeezing la vaca. ¡Gracias, Sania!

¡Hasta nuestro proximo viaje! (Until our next flight.)

Paz,
Alicia
