Winterfest 2012

This week we had the wonderful opportunity to participate in yet another successful Winterfest program. This is a traditional event in which our whole AFS community comes together to bring to light the many holidays that the winter season brings. From our youngest members of 3 and 4 year olds to the seniors, staff and faculty everyone sat together and joined in this All-School event. It was an hour of gathering  in singing, dancing, reciting poems, dramatic play, and decorating a Christmas tree, a Kwanzaa table, and a Hanukkah table too.  The Upper School orchestra led us into a sing-along of holiday songs such as Jingle Bells, Deck the Halls, Hanukah Oh Hanukah, My Little Dreydl, This Little Light of Mine, Peace Round, and Siyahumba. What a funtastic time we had!
